Micro-Flasksby Duetz maximize experimental throughput by improving your 96-, 24-, or 6-well microtiter plates. The system consists of specialized plate covers and clamps that transform any microtiter plate into a miniature bioreactor.

The Micro-Flaskby Duetz system consists of a specialized microtiter plate closures ("sandwich covers") and clamps to hold the closures in place. Micro-Flasksby Duetz are designed to provide a headspace refreshment rate of 1-2 working volumes per minute in orbial shakers, permitting oxygen concentrations of at least 18% (v/v), even when oxygen uptake rates are as high as 40 mmol O2 L-1 h-1. Evaporation at these conditions is kept at a minimum (as low as 2% per day), which permits culture times that are weeks long.
 
The sandwich covers consist of sterilizable, re-usable layers that provide a positive seal on each well of the plate (thus preventing cross-contamination and eliminating well-to-well variability), promote gas transfer, slow evaporation, and prevent contamination.

Step 1: Choose a clamp low-well-clamp-web

Easy-to-use clamps hold up to 16 microtiter plates and attach easily to all major brands of orbital shakers. Clamps are available for low-well plates, deep-well plates, and they are compatible with nearly every orbital shaker currently on the market. 
 

Step 2: Choose a sandwich coverLWP with cover

 
Covers for deep-well plates permit culture volumes up to 4mL and are ideal for medium optimization or protein production.
Covers for low-well plates permit high-throughput cultivations at volumes up to 1mL and are ideal for library screening.
 

Step 3: Choose any accessoriesgastight box

The gastight box allows anaerobic or custom COenvironments in your standard shaker.
The cryo-replicator and press facilitates reliable inoculation from freezer stocks without thawing of your parent plates.
