Our sensors are guaranteed to
keep their performance for at least 10 sterilization runs.
Applikon will replace the sensor free of
charge upon inspection of the sensor once we ensure there has been no
physical damage to the sensor.
We pride ourselves that the shelf life of the sensor is for
a minimum of 2 years, so a large number can be ordered at any time
without fear of losing their viability over time.
pH+ gel electrodes:
+Automatic (re-)pressurization at every sterilization
(AppliSens Patent)
=> low and constant offset => no need to recalibrate
=> no ingress of media into sensor => no cross contamination
=> sensor not pressurized on stock => no loss of reference gel
=> sensor not pressurized on stock => no cutting needed to activate
+Titanium shield on pH+ electrode:
=> no electromagnetic interference on sensor signal => stable signal
=> no electromagnetic interference on sensor signal => quicker calibration
and the ground glass diaphragm
The standard porous ceramic diaphragm
found in most manufacturer's sensors is replaced by a glass-glass sleeve
diaphragm, resulting in virtually:
· no protein fouling
· no offset error
· no drift
· no need for lengthy chemical storage to
clean your sensor

Gel-filled pH+ electrodes: long-life, stable
zero-point and slope
The precision of pH+ measurement in the
pharmaceutical industry is vital as it directly affects production, stability
and analysis of the active ingredients.
Non-Toxic
The AppliSens gel filled pH+ sensors are
manufactured using a non-toxic gel (see also the Material Safety Datasheet).
Long-Life
All AppliSens electrodes are delivered with the Long-Life system to prevent
silver/protein interference on the diaphragm.
Protection
The AppliSens pH+ sensors are provided with a Ti layer on the innertube
meaning there's no window between sensor head and gel which results in
an excellent screen (protection against electro magnetic interference).
The gelfilled pH+ electrodes are filled with a completely non-toxic
gel *no side-effects whatsoever.
GLP
All electrodes are accompanied by a certificate: good for GLP. All AppliSens
sensors do have a Long-Life code print (engraved serial number) on the
sensor head (good for validation; FDA / GLP). All pH+ sensors delivered
have already been autoclaved.
Easy Handling
The PG 13.5 connector is NOT integrated into the electrode head (free
spinning). This makes the electrode much easier to handle. A special type
is available with which the PG 13.5 connector is integrated with the electrode
head (like with BJC and Ingold)
